How it works

  1. Record your meeting (works in the background, even with the screen locked).
  2. Each recording is transcribed by the provider you choose.
  3. The transcripts are stitched and summarised into Markdown meeting minutes.
  4. Share or export minutes as Markdown or PDF, or the whole meeting as a ZIP.

Private by design

Audio, transcripts, and minutes are stored on your device as plain, human-readable files (visible in the iOS Files app). Your API keys are kept in the system keychain. Audio and API requests go straight from your device to whichever provider you configure — they never pass through any server we run, because there isn't one.

Bring your own provider

Open Summary is provider-agnostic. Use Groq's free tier to get started (free Whisper transcription + Llama summarisation on a single key), or point it at OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, a self-hosted Whisper server, or Ollama.
